Out on site in Northampton Gateway

A fantastic afternoon at the Northampton Gateway (NGW) site yesterday with our clients Winvic Construction.

Fenix Rail Systems have been selected to provide a state-of-the-art digital control system to facilitate train automation within the facility.

The photos show the size of this enormous site, it is a brand new facility, a large-scale logistics park which is located adjacent to J15 of the M1 with a strategic rail freight interchange (SRFI), that has been designated for SEGRO and delivered by our clients Winvic.

The Logistics Park Northampton is of up to 5 million square feet of distribution buildings with rail intermodal.

The proposed control system will bring simplicity to what would ordinarily be a complex operation, again, the digital control system will provide a safe operational environment with maximum flexibility and dependability.

Our in-house design team have now started work on the first stages of what is an exciting project to be involved.
