New faces at Fenix Signalling

Fenix Signalling is celebrating the start of its third year by welcoming three new members to the team strengthen its technical capabilities and resourcing service.

New team members Gareth Fussell, Geoff Clark and John Houghton bring with them decades of rail expertise, and will expand Fenix’s signalling capabilities whilst providing invaluable support for the company’s younger engineers.

Gareth Fussell joins Fenix to lead the design team, bringing with him over 15 years of signalling experience with major Tier-1 contractors. Gareth’s impressive project history features underground and overground major works, including the Cambrian Line ERTMS and Jubilee and Northern Line upgrade for the London Underground.

Geoff Clark has been working with Fenix since June 2016, leading the testing and commissioning team that delivered the RETB project on the West Highland and Far North lines. Having already become a key member of the Fenix team during this time, Geoff now joins the business full time. He will take full responsibility for test and commissioning, implementation and maintenance delivery on turnkey projects and offer resourcing options for external clients on individual elements of the GRIP process.

With railway credentials spanning more than 28 years, John Houghton will be a valued addition at Fenix Signalling. John has worked on over-ground and underground projects with several significant independent contractors, and possesses a breadth of experience that enables Fenix to offer increased flexibility in project delivery with its wide-ranging capabilities.

Fenix will be moving to new headquarters in Stratford upon Avon at the end of July, where the team will have room for further expansion as well as bespoke equipment for client and project meetings with webex and e-conference facilities.
