Fenix Signalling attends Railtex 2017

Fenix Signalling has made a hugely successful inaugural appearance at Railtex, the largest rail exhibition in the UK.

Railtex gives the UK’s leading suppliers of railway technology and services the opportunity to showcase their products, services and solutions. Over 400 exhibitors attended this year’s event between 9th and 11th May, which covered all sectors of the supply chain, and offered a unique networking and learning opportunity for those in the industry.

After attending the Railtex Exhibition at the NEC this week Craig Purcell, Fenix’s Managing Director said: “It was a great success – far beyond our expectations and we were delighted to meet up with so many of our UK and international industry colleagues. With a team of six technical personnel on duty throughout Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday our visitors received the personal service that Fenix always prides itself on delivering. We also had some very positive discussions with potential new clients – in fact within 24 hours we had already received detailed technical enquiries for several exciting project opportunities.”

Fenix is ready for the new design technology changes that have been at the forefront of recent media articles on HS2, shifting the project scope process into virtual reality technology. Our new animation, featuring the Governance for Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) 1-8 management and control processes journey, shows that the Fenix team is always on hand to resolve questions and challenges enroute to arriving at the hand-back and before stage setting off on to the next project.

Responding to Network Rail’s challenge for unique solutions for UK rail infrastructure, Fenix used Railtex to showcase its new video featuring the innovative computer-based interlocking (CBI) points system that the company has designed and implemented. Using a drone-shot film of the project, Fenix is able to discuss the significant benefits, simplicity of installation and operation as well as the future proof cost/benefit reduction for maintenance, staff resources and health and safety risks.

Craig added: “We look forward to following up on our Railtex success and will be talking to everyone we met in the very near future.”
