Fenix goes global at 5th International Rail Summit

Fenix was delighted to attend and sponsor the 5th International Rail Summit, which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, between 15th to 17th November 2017.

The International Rail Summit is a comprehensive networking event for the railway industry, organised by IRITS Events. The 5th summit was the first-ever to be held in Asia.

The summit’s conference programme brought together a wide range of key topics under the theme “Social and Economic Sustainability for Rail Transport”.

The event featured a full two-day conference schedule with speeches delivered by industry leaders and experts from across the globe, while also hosting bespoke one-to-one meetings for buyer delegates representing rail operators, rail infrastructure owners, national governments and local authorities.

Fenix Signalling’s Managing Director, Craig Purcell, and Projects Director, Eddie Murphy, both attended the event at Kuala Lumpur’s Shangri-La Hotel. Craig said: “It was an honour and privilege for Fenix to be able to attend and sponsor the 5th International Rail Summit.

“The summit was a fantastic opportunity for delegates to discuss some of the pressing issues facing the rail industry today and in the decades to come. From Fenix’s point of view, this was a wonderful opportunity to take part in a number of productive and engaging consultation meetings with potential buyers and promote Fenix Global and our extensive range of services to the rest of the world.

“We were able to demonstrate our wide-ranging capabilities and received several enquiries from contacts which will help build on our ever-expanding portfolio. The overall event was interesting and well-balanced, and was a pleasure to take part in.”
